A little piece of my heart was taken today. Larry Boyce has passed. It’s unbelievable I usually am not at a loss for words, but this is extremely hard for me. As a little girl I looked up to Larry as a big brother… he was larger than life to me. Dressed in his police uniform so handsome so protective.I would dream of having a husband like my sister had in Lar. Much later in life I was lucky enough to married his best friend. Larry became not only my brother but one of my best friends too. Through the next 50 years or so we ( the four of us) shared so many beautiful memories. Much too many to list . Just trust me., we had some fun! We also comforted and leaned on each other through the toughest times in our lives. The worst of them being the loss of Jason, Larry’s only beloved son. But through Jason came Larry’s heart. His Granddaughter Shelbea. Pa as she calls him started a new chapter in his life. The joy in Lars heart was his immediate family. Kimmie his devoted wife. Amanda, his daughter in law and his precious Shelbea. As life went on, the once super athlete larger than life handsome man that we knew got sick. His heart just gave in … and a little piece of my heart went with him. Love you Lar, we will miss you.

Uncle Larry was one of the reasons that I chose Law Enforcement as a career. He was a great guy and I knew that he loved my Aunt Kim because you could see it on both their faces. Rest In Peace, Uncle Larry!!!

  5. Larry was our martini drink maker for our Christmas parties. He would make us laugh so hard and would have our drinks ready for the next round. I am going to miss Larry and his funny jokes. He will be missed by all. I will never forget him.
