I was honored to have been Karen’s secretary for 13 years and blessed in having her as a dear friend for 21 years. She was the most positive, loving person I was honored to have known. I will miss her with all my heart, and I’m looking forward to seeing her again one day.

  2. Sally Engram says:

I was privileged to be hired by Karen when I started teaching in AZ. She was an amazing lady that knew how to make everyone feel valued. All the children in her schools loved her and she always showed love to each student. She would greet each child by name. She would even remember a student’s pets name and inquire how they were doing. Karen had a way to made everyone she encountered feel special. There was always a feeling of comfort and care when Karen was around.
Karen will be missed greatly. She was a beautiful, lovely soul with a kind heart.
Rest in the arms of Jesus.♥️

  3. I was hired by Westminster /VK Boos Elementary as my first teaching assignment which Karen Curtis was my principal. I am fairly certain that Karen is the main reason why I am still reaching. She stepped in to my classroom often to support me, never to condemn or point out flaws. She would casually tell me what worked for her if I wanted to try it. She was the best administrator and not being able to tell her this, makes me very sad. Thanks for letting me kind of tell her!!
