Obituary

Mr. William H. Schwemm Jr, aka Bill/Billy, 66 of Buckeye, AZ passed away on January 15, 2024 in Heber, AZ. He was born on May 4, 1957 in Elgin, IL to William Schwemm Sr and Marlene Smith.

Bill Schwemm moved to Phoenix, AZ at an early age where he met Bobbie and they were married for close to 20 years while they raised their 3 children.

Bill was one of the most loving, funny, and supportive people you could have ever met. You could always count on him for middle of the night “Happy birthday! I love you!” text messages because he wanted to be the first to celebrate your day with you!

On holidays, he would send out dozens of texts to everyone he knew so that everyone felt important to him and special! Even if you barely knew him, he was quick to become “Uncle Billy” and make an impact on your life.

While Bill loved his Harley, fishing, and annual trips to Vegas for his birthday; He loved his kids and grandkids even more! His love for them was unconditional and he was extremely proud of everything they have accomplished!

We love you, miss you, and will carry you in our hearts and memories forever! We hope you find your best friend, William Schwemm Sr, to have some great conversations and tell him hi from all of us. We’ll see you around.

He is survived by Bobbie Schwemm, daughters A’Lyn Benitez and Donya Hoyt, son Colton Schwemm, sisters Julie Hall and DeEtta Kiley, and 11 grandchildren: Xander Benitez, Kasey Juarez, Preston Hoyt, Mathew Bowman, Kaleb Hoyt, Nathen Schwemm, Darin Benitez, Axel Schwemm, Miza Benitez, Kynzlee Hoyt, and Taytum Hoyt.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Schwemm Sr and Marlene Smith, sister Loretta Schwemm, brother Jimmy Schwemm, and grandson Antonio Benitez.
