Obituary
Our beautiful mother, Velma Joann Mylar passed away on October 22, 2022 at the age of 85. She was born April 4, 1937. She was well loved by family and friends and was a wonderful mother. She was always there when you needed her. Joann lived in Phoenix, Arizona up until her passing. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Brown, her husband, William Mylar, and son, Michael Carter. Joann leaves behind her daughter, Susan Hilburn, brother, Les (Donna) Patton, granddaughter, Haylie Hilburn, grandson William (Danielle) Brown, granddaughter Jennifer Brown, and two great-grandsons, Kayden and Dylan along with many wonderful friends that she loved to spend time with. She will be greatly missed.
We love you, Mom.
A visitation will be held at 8AM on Tuesday, November 1 at Thompson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at West Resthaven Park Cemetery.

Joann was such a pleasant person. She would usually come to the office to pay her insurance bill in person. She always had Brandi and I laughing. We will miss her.
