Obituary

On Friday, April 17, 2020 Timothy Kiernan lost his battle with cancer and passed away surrounded by his family, at the age of 31. Tim was born on June 21st, 1988 to Ray and Vivian Robin Kiernan. He graduated from Moon Valley High School in 2006 and served the people of Arizona for 10 years at the State of Arizona Department of Economic Security.

Tim loved video games and watching movies, but his biggest passion was spending time with his family and friends. Tim grew up in a large family of 8 children and numerous cousins. Often you would find Tim out playing Pokémon with his cousins or watching Harry Potter with his family. He was an accomplished barrel racer and soccer player, and avid competitor in 5k runs. He generously supported many worthy causes such as walks of cancer. He had a few different jobs in his short life but really enjoyed his time as a bartender. His favorite part was being creative with mixing drinks, taste testing a Scooby Snack or two and entertaining the people he served. He took great joy in planning events. From vacations and trips to the Renaissance Festival to even just a quiet dinner out, he just wanted to be having fun with his family and friends.

Tim is survived by his parents Raymond and Robin Kiernan, His siblings Karen Leonhart, Michael Lilly, Alan Kiernan, Katie Kiernan, Robbie Kiernan, Trisha Kiernan, Vivian Kiernan and their spouses and children. Funeral services will be 10:00am Friday, April 24th 2020 at Hazelton Memorial Cemetery 23100 W Broadway Rd Buckeye, Arizona.

The family would like to extend a special Thank you to Tim’s aunt, Carla Devoy for taking care of him through his battle. Her efforts and unwavering support for Tim and the whole family is greatly appreciated.

  2. You’re in our prayers during this difficult time. We delighted in spending time with your family and will always remember how happy and proud Timmy was the day Kenny was born and the day he became his Godfather. Wishing you love and light from our family to yours.
Ron, Annette, Sean and Josh Smith.

  3. Our sincere sympathy.
We I heard from Ry that Tim had passed, it was one of the saddest days of my life.
I met Timmy through my son James when Tim roomed there. I was visiting from Nebraska. The minute I met Timmy was like mother meets son for the first time. I always told him he was my son from a different mother. Timmy was the sweetest, most loving, most sincere person you could meet. So much fun to be around and such a wonderful smile. We were so excited when he came to our home in Nebraska. We had so much fun!!!
I will never forget that wonderful, caring, kind, happy kid.
RIP Timmy. We will love you always.
Also thanks to his aunt for caring for him in the most difficult time of his life. You are truly a blessing.

  5. My prayers go out to the Kiernan family + friends @ the loss of Tim. Especially his parents, Robin + Ray. God made this world a better place by giving us Tim. I, for one, wish I had gotten to spend more time with this special young man. May your lifetime of good memories carry Robin + Ray + those who were truly blessed to know Tim, through these difficult times. God bless you all. Justine
