Obituary

Ms. Santos Loza, 96 of Glendale, Arizona passed away December 6, 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born November 3, 1924, to Cirildo Loza and Ramona Martinez in Poteet, Texas.

Santos loved to cook and making homemade tortillas. She also loved music. Santos grew up in Poteet, Texas and in 1951, she came to Arizona.

She is survived by her daughters Angie Luna, Stella Acevedo, and Layah Thomas, her sons Robert Gonzales, Daniel Gonzales and Joe Gonzales, her sister Ignaca Gonzales, 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Guadalupe Gonzales, her daughter Janie Soto and her grandson Manuel Soto.

A visitation will be held at 8:00AM on December 14, 2020 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 South Litchfield Road, Goodyear, Arizona. Funeral services will follow the visitation at the same location and burial services will be held at Louis B. Hazelton Cemetery following the funeral service.

  1. My mom was a great women, stern but loving. I will miss you more than you know mom. I am glad I was able to talk to you everyday and tell you that I LOVE YOU. You are now resting and with our father. Thank you for all the years you gave me and all of the things you taught me over the years. I know one day we will meet again and that you will be my guardian angel everyday of my life. I LOVE YOU MOM and will miss you more than you know. Your wisdom and stern personality will always live in me.
