He stayed working on Base as a Weapons Mechanic on the flight line until the Summer of this year. In 2019 he beat Lung Cancer. March of 2022 his Cancer came back and fought the good fight. Unfortunately, he passed away due to complications from the Cancer but not without fighting with everything he had.

  3. Dad, I miss you…
I miss the times I’d force you to play video games w me, rummikub, even monopoly. I miss hearing you laugh to the point of tears at Dodgeball or sometimes Accepted. I’m glad you’ve always been an active father and was always there for my recitals, college graduation, even the birth of Jade.. even though I am still mad you were in the room for it Jade said she’s going to miss going on rides with you but that is okay because you’re hugging great papa now.. I wish you could’ve stayed another 40 years so you can see me get older. I just want to see you in your work uniform again walking through the parking garage. Thank you for being my dad & being a great papa to Jade. I’ll never let her forget you and all the great memories you gave her. There’s so much more I want to say but I wish I could hear you call me Princess JellyBean one more time.

  4. Rod was a Godly man & will be missed. It was an honor to know him as a brother in Christ.
