Obituary

Mr. Robert W. Huerta of Litchfield Park, Arizona passed away September 9, 2022 at the age of 80. He was born December 1, 1941 in Phoenix, Arizona to Paul Huerta and Jenny (Machado) Huerta.

Robert graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1959. During the Cuban Missile Crisis, he was a U.S. Navy Electronics Technician. After his career in the Navy, he worked for Motorola for 35 years. He helped set up and establish their semi-conductor business.

Robert was an avid hunter and woodworker. He also built sand rails, which allowed him to make many wonder trips to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes and other dunes throughout the southwest.

Robert was known to be kind, loving, generous, and all around a really great person. Those who knew him, will always remember him as an amazing and special person.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Rosel and Rachel. He is survived by his wife, Jean Gray Huerta; the mother of his children, Royale Catrine Huerta; and his children, Robynn Susane Kenny, Rebecca Renee Huerta-Cerny, and Regina Rachel Huerta. He is also survived by his sisters, Carolyn Cooper of Tucson, Arizona and Jane King of Olympia Washington; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, October 1 at Thompson Funeral Chapel in Goodyear, Arizona.

    Jean,
    I’m sad, but I wish to thank you for taking care of Bob in his time of need.
    Bob was a friend and while we woked together for several years we also hunted together and yes,drank together. Many good memories.
    Beth and I will do our best to attend the memorial service.

  3. Bob never turned down a request for help when he worked for Motorola. A good one has gone to his rewards.
