Obituary

Mr. Richard Ervin Hauck (66) of Phoenix, Arizona was born in Portland, Oregon on March 5, 1955 to Ervin and Billie Anne Hauck. He died on October 7, 2021 after a long four-year battle with Glioblastoma Stage 4 brain cancer. Rick grew up in Oregon with his family until joining the United States Air Force at age 18, making a 30-year career out of it. His duties included aircraft maintenance and embassy work that led him to travel all around the world. Rick retired at the highest rank of Chief Master Sargent from Luke Air Force Base in 2004.

After retiring from the Air Force he worked as a maintenance handyman at Trinity Lutheran Church and School where he also worshipped God with his family. In 2007, he went back to school and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Rick was heavily involved in his children’s lives which lead him to be the PTA President of their grade school, Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 99, and attended many band competitions and volleyball games of his children. He enjoyed working on his cars, hiking, camping, and being outdoors soaking up the sunshine.

Rick was a loving husband and father who always provided for his family and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife Debbie Hauck, sons Ken, Richard and Chad Hauck, daughters Alene and Marcella Hauck, granddaughters Sasha and Shaylene, and great-granddaughter Aubrey. He is also survived by his father Ervin Hauck and siblings Linda, Pattie, and Bernie.

Memorial Services will be held November 13th at Trinity Lutheran Church at 11am.
