Obituary
Renard Hutchison, age 62 of Litchfield Park, AZ died January 28, 2020. He was born March 25, 1957, in Yuma, AZ to Steven and Beulah Hutchison. Renard was a member of the US Air Force ROTC in high school. He graduated from Evans High School in 1975. He served in the US Army from 1975 – 1995 achieving the rank of MSgt – Special Forces. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division, the 75th Ranger Infantry Regiment, and the First Special Forces Group.
After retiring from military service Renard served as a Phoenix Police Officer. Following the attacks on 9/11, he was recruited to become a Diplomatic Security Specialist in the Iraq and Afghanistan theatres of combat where he served multiple tours of duty. In his free time, Renard enjoyed photography and hiking. He was an avid collector of guns and military gear. A generous man, he always looked out for his family and his brothers-in-arms. He was a true patriot.
Renard is survived by his daughters, Tina Michelle Hutchison, and Erica Paige Hutchison; mother, Beulah Hutchison; sister, Darlene Roach; brothers, Steven Hutchison, and Calvin Hutchison; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Hutchison. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm on Monday, February 10, 2020, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024. “Hutch” was a great guy!!! I worked with him at the US Dept of Energy at Livermore Lab where we formed and trained the SWAT team. Hutch was a great guy. I just thought of him and decided to Google and found this site. I’m very sad to find out he passed away.
