Obituary
Mr. Raul Bustos of Tolleson, Arizona, passed away September 14, 2022 at the age of 86 he was born January 8, 1936 in Rivera, Texas to Acension Bustos and Genoveva Olvera-Bustos.Raul lived a wonderful life and was loved by many. He was a son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.Raul was generous, kind, and most of all a lot of fun. People will remember his full of life personality.Raul joined the United States Marines in 1954. He was very proud to serve his country.He lived in Texas, California, Illinois, and eventually settling in Arizona.Raul enjoyed fishing, old westerns, and family gatherings.Raul is survived by his children, grandchildren, & wife of 63 years.Visitation will be held 6 PM September 30 at Thompson’s funeral chapel in Goodyear ArizonaBurial will take place at 11 am Saturday, October 1 at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery Phoenix, Arizona.

We were all so saddened to learn of Raul’s passing. For the over 2 decades that we knew him, he was always warm and welcoming to our whole family. I’m not sure which one of our 7 children it was, but one of them mistakenly called him “Raluu” one time and it stuck! His kind eyes and warm smile are a comforting memory. We pray that he was immediately welcomed into heaven by a warm and loving God. And, we pray that his passing will serve as an opportunity for those who loved him to come together. He would have loved nothing more. Godspeed Raluu. We all love you!
