Obituary

Nancy Nichols, age 53, of Goodyear, AZ died October 30, 2018, in Goodyear, AZ.  She was born September 9, 1965, in Deland, FL to Porter and Nancy Dempsey.  Funny, sweet and loving, Nancy loved to gather her family around her.  Whether they were sharing in a huge pot of Nancy’s famous jambalaya, (which was always better the 2^nd day),  or gathered for a backyard barbeque, the festivities always ended with her children and grandchildren listening to her sing.  Nancy loved to sing karaoke!  Her favorite songs came from Patsy Cline, Sting, Nora Jones, and occasionally even gangsta rap, complete with backup dancing grandchildren.

Nancy worked as an administrative assistant and in home health care.  She lived most of her life in Arizona, but spent 13 years in Price, UT.  She loved the outdoors and would often comment when she got up into the pines and cedars of the mountains that she felt free.  She enjoyed puzzles and spent hours working on Sudoku and crossword puzzles.  But her favorite pastime was spending quality time with her grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Alyssa (Daniel) Roe; sons, Kyle (Cyemonette) Lee, Dakota, Jacob, and Preston Nichols; mother, Nancy Dempsey;  sisters, Sandra (Dan) Pryor, Deborah (Lamont) Pangle, Susan (Rob) Warner, Karen (Nick) Wilkinson; and five grandchildren, Addyson, Tairen, Jenna, Parker, and Colt.  She was preceded in death by her father, Porter Dempsey.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Lighthouse Fellowship Church.  The family suggests that donations be made to Lighthouse Fellowship, 3015 N 195th Ave, Litchfield Park, AZ 85340.
