Obituary

Miguel Bahena Castro born May 25, 1927 from El Paso, Texas passed away peacefully on April 22, 2016 in Goodyear, Arizona with his wife and family by his side. During the past 17 days he was battling MRSA pneumonia and he knew that treating this would be difficult and requested to be sent home. Miguel lifted our spirits with his smile, never complained of pain, and was strong and courageous at the end.

Miguel Castro was a very hard working loving father who provided a good loving home for all his children. He started working at the age of 7 to help his mother after his father died and was unable to attend school. He taught himself how to read and write. Because he had to work at such a young age he bestowed  to his children the value of working hard to succeed in life.
Miguel loved music, Mariachis and dancing was his passion. He was a humble, handsome, loving father. Miguel was a parishioner at La Purisima Catholic Church in Orange, California.  He was the Lead Usher and helped  start the Good Samaritans at La Purisima Church.
At the age of 79 he had a quadruple bi-pass and later his health started to deteriorate and he was unable to work, His dogs gave him love and joy; he was always anxious to be at home with them. Miguel will be in our hearts and missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. He loved his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be missed, and forever in our hearts.

Miguel is survived by his wife Carlota C. Castro and he was preceded in death by his first wife Maria Cruz P. Castro. Miguel is survived by his daughters; Martha, Maria, Cruz, Margie, Fabiola, and Edna Castro, as well as his sons; Miguel, (preceded in death by Jesse), Gabriel, and Jose Castro. Granddaughters; Carmen, Veronica, Erika, Maria, Nancy, Cruzita, Monica, Cristina, Marissa, Yessenia, Jessica, Vanessa, and Brianna, his grandsons; Miguel Jr, Gerardo, Pedro Jr, Manuel, Mario, Marcus, Gabriel, Jesse Jr, Christopher, Miguel, Miguel Angel, Cruz Freddy, Esteban, and Eddy.
