Obituary

Michael O’Neal Mann of Buckeye, AZ died March 7, 2017. He was born July 10, 1950 to Gardner and Melvean Howe-Mann in Carlsbad, NM. Michael served in the US Marine Corps from 1969 – 1975 achieving the rank of Corporal E-4. He was awarded the Rifle Expert Badge, National Defense Medal, Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Mast, and Good Conduct Medal. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from New Mexico State University. He was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for Superior and Quality Work in support of the Palo Verde nuclear generating station. He was a member of the Masons of Arizona.

Michael is survived by his wife, Patricia Lee Mann; daughter, Jodie Dawn Miller; sons, Britt Liles, Michael S. Bostwick, and Howard, Mickey, and James O. Mann; brother, Rick Mann; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gardner and Melvean Mann; wife, Darryl Constance Mann; and son, Stephen Mann.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at White Tanks Southern Baptist Church, 1420 N 192nd Ave, Buckeye, AZ 85396. Burial will take place at 12:30 pm, Monday, March 20, 2017 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.

  1. Rick, and the Mann Family,

    I was heartbroken to hear of Mikes passing. Mike was a very special and caring person. We had known each other since we were teenagers in Carlsbad, and shared many good times with our friends. I hope the wonderful memories of Mike will help you through this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
