In Loving Memory of Michael P. McFillin Sr

November 21, 1956 – February 25, 2024

Michael P. McFillin Sr passed peacefully on February 25, 2024, in the comfort of his own home in Goodyear, Arizona. Michael served as an Industrial Laundry Chemical Specialist for 43 years, his commitment to his work was a testament to his strong work ethic and dedication.

Born on November 21, 1956, Michael was one of eight children of the late James and Margaret McFillin of Philadelphia, PA. Nearly two decades ago, he relocated to Arizona with his best friend and wife, Nancy and their son, Michael Jr. During their time in Arizona, the family grew to include his devoted and loyal canine companion, Kayla, who became a cherished member of their household.

In addition to his immediate family, Michael held a special place in his heart for his 46 nieces and nephews, as well as his brothers and sisters. He will be remembered by his family as a wonderful man who was honorable, ethical, and kind—a true testament to a life well-lived.

Michael is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy, and son, Michael Jr. He also leaves behind siblings James F., Jr. McFillin (Maureen), Francis W. McFillin (Anne), Catherine M. Mote (William), and Mary E. Gaus (Thomas). He was predeceased by his father, James F. Sr., mother, Margaret M. McFillin, and siblings Edward S. McFillin (Mary), Margaret M. McFillin, and Roger K. McFillin (Chris).

A funeral mass will be held at 2pm, March 8 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
