Obituary

Mark Louis Gibson – 69, Long time resident of Rio Rico, Arizona passed away Monday January 25, 2021. Mark was born in El Paso, Texas to William (Hoot) Gibson and Carol (Jannie) Smith.

Mark is survived by his 3 daughters, that he referred to as his rocks: Holly Gibson, Eva Harwood and Tricia Rodriguez, they kept him grounded and he knew he could always count on them in difficult times. Mark also had 4 grandchildren (Alex, Rodriguez, Danny Rodriguez, Halie Rodriguez, Elise Rodriguez, and Charles Harwood) who he loved dearly.

He was a proud member of the US Army and spent almost 20 years working with his second family at Coast Produce. Mark enjoyed many years of 4 wheeling down Sonoita creek with friends and family and tinkering in his garage. He retired from Coast and started his own business and new adventure (Gibson LLC.), that lead him to travel the country. Mark loved to travel and see new sights.

Mark always enjoyed eating at Nickel’s dinner with his many friends from the breakfast club. He made many friends along the way with his big smile and friendly demeanor.  He will be greatly missed by so many.
