Obituary

Kenneth Wayne Chapman, age 23, of Surprise, Arizona passed away on October 21, 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born August 16, 1997 to Wayne Chapman and Lucy Chapman in Fountain Valley, California.

Kenneth served in the United States Marine Corps from August of 2015 to present as a Flight Equipment Technician where he had attained the rank of Corporal. His final assignment was Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.

He earned the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America- Order of the Arrow, in 2014; and was a Letterman for Football with Fountain Valley High School. He was a two-time rifle expert in the United States Marine Corps. Kenneth was a Senior Patrol Leader and Jr. Scoutmaster with Boy Scouts of America Troop 412.

Kenneth is survived by his Fiancé, Jenelle; his sister, Alicia Chapman; his parents, Wayne and Lucy Chapman; and his grandmothers, Marge Chapman and Carrol Lou Jensen as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers.

A visitation will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd. Goodyear, Arizona 85338. Burial services will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona located in Phoenix, Arizona.

The family suggests that donations be made to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital, The Ryan House, or the Wounded Warrior Project in Kenneth’s name.

My baby will grow up knowing that you’re his Uncle Kenny and we’ll never forget you, your laugh, or the absolute wild things you would say. Miss you, dude.
