Obituary
Judith (Judy) Lee Braun, 65 of Buffalo Grove, IL, passed away on January 31, 2017 in Litchfield Park, AZ. Visitation and memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Park Ridge, IL on Saturday April 22, 2017. Visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:00 am. Memorial service will begin at 10:00 am. Refreshments will be served in the Grauer Lounge immediately following the service.
Judy was born in Kansas City, MO to Joseph and Virginia Hank on October 22, 1951. Judy graduated with the Class of 1969 from Maine South High School in Park Ridge, IL. She went on to become a registered nurse and a certified case manager. For more than thirty-five years, Judy worked for a number of healthcare organizations, serving patients across a variety of disciplines including Intensive Care, Surgical Services, Labor & Delivery, Nursing Homes and Payer Services. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and spending time with her family and dogs.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Virginia, and stepmother June Hank. Judy is survived by her husband Donald Braun of Buffalo Grove, IL; sister Mary Jo Jones; two daughters Jennifer (Chad) Finney and Bethany Braun; son Matthew (Kelly) Braun; four grandchildren Cassandra, Josie and Madelyn Finney, and Maxwell Braun; and her pet Spencer (dog).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Assistance in Healthcare at aih.org/donate.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Abrazo West Campus hospital for their support in her final days.

Dear Don, I was so sorry to hear about Judy. The last time I saw her was at your Mom’s wake. I still remember the first time I met her. She was in your Mom’s back yard on Washington Street. It’s been a long time and lots of great memories…Fondly, Maureen Thon
