Obituary

Jose “Joe” Angel Guerrero; born April 23, 1960 to Benita and Manuel Guerrero departed February 24, 2021. Joe is preceded in death by his father, brothers Tony and Pedro Guerrero and sister Bellia Cabrera. He is survived by the love of his life, Theresa (Brooks) Guerrero, his daughter Jessica (Guerrero) Spratley, son-in-law Ronnie Spratley Jr. and his two granddaughters Moxie and Remi Spratley; his mother Benita Guerrero, brothers Manuel, Jesus, and Ted Guerrero, sisters Juanita Guerrero, Lina Snider and Mercy Guerrero.

Joe is loved and adored by so many.  He was everyone’s “Uncle or Tio Joe”, he will be missed for his positivity, generosity and the happiness he created wherever he went. Whether it was his stern look that turned to the greatest smile, his loud voice that made you think you were in trouble (no matter how old you were), or him telling you how to do things his way – because of course it was the only way; he would always be there for you.

Even though he has left us much too soon, he will forever live on in our hearts

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date as conditions allow.

  1. Re-buy Joe / Buyback Joe,
Our fun poker-playing friend and all around great guy, you are missed. I can hear you making the Cardinals play calls before they happen and see you wearing the Fitz dreads. I can also hear you yelling, “Just take the damn picture!” every time I wanted to take a picture. You are truly missed, our friend. We will be here for Theresa, so rest easy and we’ll have a tailgate in paradise and poker games again, someday. Sending our Love, Ken and Cindy
