Obituary
Mr. Jeffrey Thomas Bascue, 74, of Whitehall, New York, died November 30, 2021, in Avondale, Arizona. He was born April 15, 1947, in Glens Falls, New York, to Charles “Art” and Nancy. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Arthur Bascue, brother Keith Bascue and many other beloved family members.
Jeff grew up in Whitehall and enjoyed spending his time in the Lake George area. Jeff graduated from Whitehall High School in 1965 where he was known for his athletic and intellectual abilities. Following his graduation from high school, Jeff’s love of country led him to join the United States Army. Following his service in the military, Jeff continued his service to others by joining the New York State Police. He graduated from New York State University in 1983. While living in Kingston, New York, he enjoyed spending time with close friends in the Hudson Valley area. Jeff spent his free time rooting for the New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals and loved spending time with his family and beloved grandchildren. Jeff was a man of few words, but he sure made the ones he said count. Jeff was the leader and the quiet strength of the Bascue Family. He was adored and respected by everyone who knew him, and many considered him a father figure.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sharon Bascue; daughters Kate Wiskoski, Denyelle Bascue, and Brianne Steinke; sons Scott Bascue, Chris Bascue, Jeffrey Bascue II, and Kenneth Curry; sister Valerie “Lisa” Deluca and Shannon Huntington; brother Charles “Carlos” Bascue; and his mother Nancy Sayas Bascue. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren: Haley, Isabella, Gabrielle, Hannah, Alexandria, Aylexys, Reina, Courtney, Maya, Ella, Vaya, Bradley, Nicholas, Cody, Jeffrey III, and Leonardo; and four great-grandchildren: Adylyn, Sophia, Carson and Grace.
A visitation will be held December 20th at 8 am at Thompson Funeral Chapel. A mass will follow at St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 1pm. Burial will take place at a later date in New York.

Taught me many things like teaching me to tie my shoe, bringing me lunch when I didn’t have any, giving me rides to and from school, judging who could dive the best in the pool among Lexy, Reina, Bella, and I but without actually watching ahah, or would tell me things to try to scare me but he was only joking (: best papa ever.
