Obituary

On Thursday, March 4, 2021 Jeffery Michael Pearson, loving husband and cherished father passed away surrounded by his family.

Jeff was born on August 20, 1944 in Tucson, Arizona to Ilona Belecz and Alec Townley. Upon graduating from Forest Grove High School in Oregon, Jeff began his career in the baking industry. On February 11, 1967 he married his love, Tammy Maffit. The couple raised 3 children all the while relocating throughout the United States as Jeff climbed the corporate ladder.

Nothing was more important to Jeff than his family and friends. More than anything he enjoyed attending all of his kids and grandkids events. He loved corn hole, golfing, fishing, spoiling his kids, animals and a good cigar. Jeff was also known to be an ornery grill master and loved to cheat at cards.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father Alec, stepmother Deana, mother Roz, and his brother, Phil. He is survived by his wife Tammy, 3 children; Jennifer, James (Rebekah), and Mitch (Angela), 3 grandchildren; Hazel, Morgan, Berend, as well as 8 siblings, a sweet dog named Chloe and a cat named Turd.

At Jeff’s request there will be no service. To honor him, donations can be made to Community Paws of Verrado, AZ (https://www.communitypaws.org/in-memory) or South Pacific Humane Society in Long Beach, WA (https://beachpets.com/)

You were the best dad anyone could ask for. Thank you for working so hard and providing for everyone. Love you and miss you. See you again someday dad. Hope you are in peace.

  2. Dear Family,
I am incredibly sorry to hear this news.
I know how much love flows in your family; the love, the laughter, the closeness you all share.
How special you all are because of him, and how blessed he was to have all of you.
I hope that you will be ok as you grieve and that you hold each other close in love, and that you have pauses in between the pain to share a laugh together and to share the memories.
Lots of love to all of you,
    Steph

My love goes out to the Pearson family. You know I love you.
I know God has his loving arms around all of you.
I was lucky to meet Jeff and family about 42 yrs ago.
I played softball and bowled with Jeff and Tammy. Jeff was quite talented. He was very punny, the King of one liners, cheating and Dad jokes
I’m very sad as many are.
Jeff will be missed by all he loved and all who loved him ♡

  4. What an amazing friend Jeff was to us. We will miss his visits to the coast and to Snohomish with his great smile, sense of humor and even the little curmudgeon we saw from time to time!! Also his competitive nature in all games. He was the Champ!!

Much love to Tammy and the entire family as you pull together to work through this difficult time. Jeff and all of you are in our prayers.

    Love,
    Jim and Margie

I loved his sense of humor and his awesome skills on the grill! He was loved by all, and we will miss him so much.”
