Obituary

Mrs. Janice “Jan” Jensen of Cedar Falls, Iowa passed away January 18, 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 76. She was born November 17, 1947 in Cedar Falls, Iowa to the late Kenneth and Dorothy White. She was also preceded in death by her step-son Chad, brother Don, and grandparents Harry, Alma, Kenneth, and Marie.

Janice is survived her husband of 33 years, Robert Jensen; step-sons Todd (Lisa) Jensen and Ryan (Mallory) Jensen; and daughter-in-law Maggie; and seven grandchildren: Trevor, Spencer, Lauryn, Cooper, Lucy, Colten, and Myles.

Jan graduated from Cedar Falls High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Upper Iowa University. Her career at John Deere lasted 34 years. She met Bob and they married on May 4, 1990. Together, they raised the boys and eventually became grandparents. Bob and Jan loved traveling, being with friends and family, and spending the cold Iowa winters in Arizona for the past 20 years.

In her free time, Jan enjoyed shopping, golfing, and working at the spring training sport shop for the Reds and Indians. But mostly, she enjoyed being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren. She was known to be the life of the party and would light up any room she entered.

Jan was a wonderful Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mom, Grandma, and Friend. She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
