James Patrick VanJacobs, age 82, of Goodyear, Arizona passed away on June 14, 2020 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born on July 2, 1937 to James Emmett VanJacobs and Eleanor Carlson.
James is survived by his wife Gloria Kay VanJacobs.

Awww, Judy and I are so sorry to learn of Jim’s passing. He was a neighbor and good friend. We loved his penmanship on the Christmas card we received each year. We remember the times when he wasn’t in so much pain. He always had a warm greeting for us. Not only did we see him in the neighborhood, he would greet us and a LOT of folks at his job at Costco. He never seemed stressed there and took the time to talk with us even if the line grew behind us. Thankfully we were able to visit with Jim a few months ago and even though we knew he wasn’t doing well at that time, he didn’t show that to us. We will miss him. Sending our thoughts and prayers to Gloria and all his family. He will be remembered fondly. Rest in peace, Jim.

We are so saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. What great memories we share, especially that 50th anniversary of yours. If Heaven needs a greeter with a constant smile, he’s their guy for sure. Love to Gloria and the family.
