Obituary

Gerald L. “Gerry” Miller, 76, of Avondale, Arizona died July 11, 2022. He was born October 6, 1945 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania to Gerald L. & Anna Mae Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald L. & Anna Mae Miller and grandson Christian Miller.

Gerald graduated in 1963 from Pottstown High School in Pennsylvania. He went on to work for Pennsylvania Power and Light immediately after graduating. He then joined the US Army. He quickly advanced his career to include Airborne Special Forces, Green Beret and finished his military career in Military Intelligence. He received many decorations, including the Legion of Merit & Meritorious Service Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, four Army Achievement Medals, seven Army Good Conduct Medals, a National Defense Service Medal and a Humanitarian Service Medal. he retired from the Army as a Mast 1st Sergeant E8. After his retirement from the Army, he had another successful career with Kastle Stair, Inc. and Kustom Stair & Finish, inc.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Pamela High, daughter and son-in-law Anne Louise & Douglas Delhagen, son and daughter-in-law Gerald and Kelly Miller, son and daughter-in-law Walter & Christine Miller, his sister and brother-in-law Audrey & Richard Pell, and brother and sister-in-law Allen & Sally Miller. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; Walter Jr., Jacob, Anneliese, Daniel, Joseph, Gerald III, Mark, Paul and Samuel, and one great-grandchild Jireh Lee.
