Deanna Vivian Olea (Lowe) Mitchell

~ Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister ~

Surrounded by family and loved ones, Deanna passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14th 2020 at her home in Avondale, AZ. She was 77 years old.
Deanna was born on December 2, 1942 in Phoenix, AZ. She was the firstborn child of Angelita Mendoza and Theodore Olea, Jr.

Deanna grew up in Eloy and Casa Grande, AZ. She graduated with honors from Casa Grande Union High School in 1960. She attended Arizona State University and graduated with her Associates Degree. Deanna worked in the Aerospace Industry for 41 years, while raising her four children.

Deanna is survived by her husband of 27 years, James D. Mitchell, and children: Cathy Smithers (Bob), Freddie Lowe (Ann), Chris Lowe and Elicia Lowe Rodriquez, Erika Mitchell and Valerie Weekley (Rob). She also leaves ten grandchildren: Nicholle Roscoe, Vanessa, Anthony, Nathaniel and Samantha Lowe, Adrian, Alex and Amber Rodriquez, Dominik and Anthony Weekley and great grandchild, Hayley McPhearson. She is also survived by her brother, Anthony (Tony) Murrieta and sister, Angelita (Tootie) Pioske.

Deanna is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Olea, Jr., Angelita and Anthony Murrieta and brother Carlos (Sonny) Murrieta.

Services for Deanna will be on Saturday, May 23rd 2020 at 2:00pm at Thompson Funeral Chapel located at 926 S. Litchfield Rd, Goodyear, AZ 85338.

    My second Mom for 30 yrs. She was was there for me though so much so thankful to give her 3 Beautiful amazing grandchildren. I will miss her dearly and pray for her often. I love you momma.

    Lots of love, prayers and positive thoughts from Iowa. Jim and family, we are so sorry for your loss. May God carry you in the palm of his hand while you grieve and after.

  5. Being a brother-in-law to Deanna has been a blessing. I never get waited on as I do when I am visiting them in Avondale.
    I kid her on how special I am that she always had coffee ready to go for me in the morning (I wake up at 3:00 AM). You have to be careful what you think out loud, she will get it for you.

    I will miss her always.
