Obituary

Mrs. Coral W. Madden of Goodyear, Arizona died August 29, 2022 at the age of 89. She was born February 2, 1933 in Park River, North Dakota to Edgar H. White and Lila White. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Erickson; and brothers Garth White and Wendell White.

Coral earned a B.A. in Music from the College of Great Falls. She used her degree to bring her love of music to the children of the Great Falls Public School System from 1970 to 1998. Coral was a member of many civic music groups and performed onstage with them. She was proud to perform with the Great Falls Symphony Association, Symphonic Choir, at the Great Falls Recital Series, and with the Great Falls Summer Showcase Theatre.

Coral was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Great Falls from 1968 until her move to Arizona in 2016. While a member of the church, she was ordained as an elder, served on the Session, and was a member of and soloist for the church choir. In 1973, Coral was a founding member of the Great Falls Chapter BD of P.E.O., a women’s philanthropic education organization.

Though we know that she is in a better place, the loss of our Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Friend leaves a sadness within our hearts. She will be forever missed.

Coral is survived by her daughters, Jane Olson and Ann Ketelsleger; son, Thomas Erickson; and sister Doris Pettit. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
