Obituary

Clayton William Wicketts, 94, of Litchfield Park, AZ passed away August 16, 2019.  He was born in Mohawk, Michigan on February 23, 1925.  Clayton and his life-long sweetheart, Betty (Trombley), were married for 71 years, standing by each other through good times and bad.

Clayton proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Second World War.  Clayton and Betty also spent 30 years living in Detroit, during which time he became an avid fan of Detroit sports including Tiger baseball, Detroit Lion football and Detroit Red Wings hockey.  Clayton remained an active hockey player until he was 56 years old.

A funeral service will be held to honor Clayton on Friday, September 6, at 12:00 pm, at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ  85338.  A graveside service and interment will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
