Obituary

On Thursday, April 20, 2023, Christopher Kennedy, my wonderful husband and devoted father passed away at age 55 from a brief battle with cancer. Chris was born May 8, 1967 in Downey, California. Chris moved to Alaska at a young age with his father Mike, mother Sara, and his older sister Tracy. He was a life-long Alaskan until he retired and moved to Arizona. Chris loved muscle cars, 70-80’s rock music, and his family.

He is survived by his wife Malie, his children Lindie and Paden, his parents, his sister, his brother-in-law Tom, and nephew Will. He is also survived by a few aunts and numerous cousins. He will always be remembered as a loyal friend and dedicated father with a sarcastic sense of humor.

We will miss him.

  1. Dad and I know Chris was a very good man. We know because of how much you loved him.

  2. Artie Soria says:

Worked with Chris in the 90s in prudhoe and if you didn’t know him and his sense of humor then you weren’t a friend.
The gang at drillsite maintenance back in the day had some fun times and lots of laughs, Chris will surely be missed.
God Bless brother until we all meet again.

  3. Chris and I worked together for over thirty years in the oil industry of North Alaska. Chis was a friend, brother, leader, and one of the smartest persons I have had the pleasure of knowing. Chris was a true family man and his love for them showed deeply as he spoke dearly of them. Amongst his friends and coworkers, Chris was the king of sarcasm and sarcastic humor. I can still see the crooked smirk on his face as he “zinged” one of us with a torpedo like jab that devastated with no punches pulled!
I am honored and proud to know Chris Kennedy, I will forever cherish his memories and will always think of him in my heart as a brother and friend.
“Until we all meet again Chris, here’s to you”. With love, your friend Anthony.

Worked with Chris, he was one of my favorite company men. He will be missed greatly. My heart goes out to his family.

  5. Mailie & family,
I have known Chris as a friend and coworker since 2006. He brought laughter and joy to our world and was always breathe of fresh air with his stance on the world and his humor around it. He was a very dedicated family man and had an amazing smile on his face & in his heart when he spoke of his home life, yourself, your kids, his projects and what made him who he was. I am truly sorry for your loss and learning of this saddens me deeply.

I used to leave messages on his phone before he went into the office in the morning, just so I would get a call back from him and laugh at his response. Your husband was a hi-light of going to work and will be missed dearly!!
