Obituary

Mrs. Barbara L. Foguth, 87, of Goodyear, Arizona died on August 28, 2021 in Avondale, Arizona. She was born August 8, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Ernest and Freida Csolkovits, and lived most of her life in Grandville, MI.

Barbara was a mother of seven children who she loved unconditionally. She was known for cooking a spaghetti dinner for the whole varsity football team before every game. Barbara loved to garden, was an expert at knitting, crocheting and making cookies. She was famous for her peanut brittle and cinnamon rolls.

She is survived by her husband, Paul A. Foguth; daughters, Elizabeth Reinking and Teresa Kinder; sons, Paul Foguth, James Foguth, Robert Foguth, and Joseph Foguth; sister, Ruth Chilver; brother, Charles Csolkovits; fifteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her son, David Foguth, and brothers, Ernest Csolkovits Jr. and Tommy Csolkovits.

There will be a funeral for Barbara at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Avondale, AZ on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 1pm.

  5. I’m so sad to see Barb has passed. I became her neighbor in Grandville, Michigan in 2009 and LOVED chatting with her while we weeded. I received many recipe cards and pears from her tree over the years too! Prayers to Paul and the rest of her family.
