Obituary

Andre Gustave Cuenoud, 89 of Scottsdale, AZ. died March 16, 2017 in Surprise, AZ. He was born March 30, 1927 to Gustave and Juliette Cuenoud in Lausanne, Switzerland. He was preceded in death by his wife Marguerite Cuenoud; his sister Yvette Diserens and his parents Gustave and Juliette Cuenoud; he is survived by Claude Diserens and family of Switzerland, Jocelyn Borgeaud and family of Switzerland and Jean-Pierre and Heidi Dupuis and family of Avondale, AZ.

He served as a soldier in the Swiss Army in 1948. He studied horticulture in Switzerland and moved to the United States in 1950. In 1958 he opened Landscaping by Andre in Scottsdale. In 1991 he received the Arizona Landscaping Contractors Association Award. He was a member of EL ZARIBA SHRINE, Masonic Lodge, Kiwanis, past-President of the Arizona Swiss Society as well as a Boy Scout Leader.
