Obituary

Allan B. Bobbe, age 66 of Goodyear, AZ died May 14, 2019, in Goodyear. He was born November 10, 1952, in Waupaca, WI, the second of four children born to Arden and Marcia Bobbe. He grew up in Scandinavia, WI where he learned to work on the family farm. He served for four years in the US Navy as a torpedoman’s mate, his last assignment on the USS Sierra. Upon his discharge, Allan received his AA at Fox Valley Technical Institute, his BA in accounting at Lakeland College and passed the CPA exam in one sitting. As a CPA he worked for several different industries before forming his own accounting firm in Goodyear, AZ.

In his private time, Allan relished being outdoors. He was an avid hunter who took the time to study in-depth the habitat and nature of his prey, always appreciating the uniqueness of each animal. His gun of choice was a muzzleloader, a rifle that he felt gave the animal a fair chance. He loved long rides on his motorcycle exploring the backroads of AZ, always trying to surround himself with the beauty of the land without the traffic of the city. He liked camping and any other activity that would allow him to enjoy nature.

Allan was fiercely patriotic. He believed that he lived in the greatest country ever. His compassion for others and devotion to country led him to become a part of the Patriot Guard, a group that honors the men and women who have served our country.

Allan is survived by his wife and longtime friend, Kathleen Bobbe; son, Aaron B. Bobbe and his wife Lauren Kaplan; sister Mardene Bobbe; brothers, John Bobbe and his wife Terry; Martin Bobbe; brothers-in-law, Michael Hirschmann and his wife Rose Peters, Douglas Hirschmann and his wife Barbara; John Hirschmann, Ronald Hirschmann and his wife Beverly, Kenneth Hirschmann and his wife, Dawn; and many nephews and nieces. The family suggests that donations be made to Wounded Warriors or the Salvation Army.

  2. You will be missed for sure! We had the honor of becoming your friend. Both Jeff and I felt your warm heart and soul. I know through many talks with my great friend Kathy that you were loved so much by her. To her you were not only her husband but her best friend, partner and lover. I truly believe that you two will be joined one day in Heaven. You are at peace and I do thank God for taking you so you didn’t have to suffer in pain anymore. May God Bless your family as they go thru the grieving process.

  5. Kathy and family,

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Allan. Allan was our CPA and I enjoyed visiting with him when he would do our taxes and advise us on related tax issues. He was not only very professional, but put a human spin on the ins and outs of the IRS. Allan gave me insight on the workings of the IRS and how to minimize the tax liability as well as maximizing the return. He was never too busy to answer a question or to have a talk.

    He will be deeply missed.
