Obituary

Rafaela Martinez, age 100, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on August 10, 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on October 24, 1919 to Jose Capitilo and Rita in Villa de Reyes, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Rafaela was born in Mexico in 1919, later in life she met and married Eduardo Martinez and moved to the United States of America for a better life.

She is preceded in death by Eduardo Martinez and Matea Martinez. Rafaela is survived by Antonia Tritz, Maria Williams, Isabel Martinez, Tommie Stuteville, Sabino Martinez, and Amalia Agurire. She had 77 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at 8:00AM at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd. in Goodyear, Arizona. Burial services are to be held on the same day at 9:30AM at West Resthaven Cemetery, 6450 West Northern Ave. in Glendale, Arizona.
