James Figueroa Abeytia of Phoenix, Arizona passed away March 1, 2023. He was born November 12, 1929 in Phoenix, Arizona to Pedro and Rita Abeytia.
James joined the United States Army at the age of 16 and was stationed in Germany. He then went on to retire from WT Grant stores.
He was preceded in death by his son, David, granddaughters Debra and Yvonne, as well as seven brothers and four sisters. James is survived by his children Dolores, Gloria, Georgeanna, Carolina, Rick, and Mark, sister Bertha Alverez, 23 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30am, Thursday, March 23 at St. Luke Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona (Phoenix, AZ).
