Obituary

Fernando Olivas Aguirre, age 20, of Tolleson, AZ died October 28, 2018, in Omaha, NE.  He was born February 24, 1998, in Reno, NV to Fernando and Blanca Olivas.  Fernando was a wonderful son, brother, and friend.  Resourceful and very smart, he was a straight-A student and a member of the National Honors Society.  He graduated from La Joya Community High School in Avondale, AZ.  He played football, enjoyed video games, and was passionate about skateboarding.

Fernando was always there for others.  He was kind-hearted, emotional and showed his love by hugging everyone.  He set high goals for himself and was working towards a degree in business with the desire to achieve enough financial success to provide his parents with a better way of life.

Fernando is survived by his parents, Blanca and Fernando Olivas, Sr.; sister, Miriam Alicia Olivas Aguirre; brother, Jonathan Olivas; and grandparents, Daniel Aguirre and Guillermina Gonzalez.  A visitation will be held at 8:00 – 9:00 am with a funeral service to follow at 9:00 am,  and a gathering from 10:00 – 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ  85338.  Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 9925 W. Thomas Road, Avondale, AZ 85392.

Fernando Olivas Aguirre, de 20 años de edad, de Tolleson, AZ, falleció el 28 de octubre del 2018 en Omaha, NE. Nació el 24 de febrero del 1998, en Reno, NV, hijo de Fernando y Blanca Olivas. Fernando fue un maravilloso hijo, hermano y amigo. Ingenioso y muy inteligente, era un estudiante distinguido y miembro de la Sociedad Nacional de Honores. Se graduó de La Joya Community High School en Avondale, AZ.  Fernando jugaba fútbol americano, disfrutaba de los videojuegos y era un apasionado del monopatín.

Fernando siempre estuvo ahí para los demás. Fue amable, emotivo y mostró su amor abrazando a todos. Se fijó grandes metas para sí mismo y estaba trabajando para obtener un título en negocios con el deseo de lograr el éxito financiero suficiente para brindarles a sus padres una mejor forma de vida.

A Fernando le sobreviven sus padres, Blanca y Fernando Olivas, Sr.; hermana, Miriam Alicia Olivas Aguirre; hermano Jonathan Olivas; y los abuelos, Daniel Aguirre y Guillermina González. Se realizará una visita a las 8:00 – 9:00 am con un servicio fúnebre que se realizará a las 9:00 am, el miércoles 7 de noviembre del 2018 en Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ 85338. Seguirá el sepelio en Holy Cross Cemetery, 9925 W. Thomas Road, Avondale, AZ 85392.
