Obituary

Ernestine “Tinie” Duarte Ruiz passed away in Goodyear, AZ on Thursday October 27, 2022.

Tinie was born in Tortugas, NM on September 28,1940 to Carlos and Marcella Duarte. She graduated from Las Cruces High School, Class of 59.

Tinie was an administrative clerk at different agencies. She retired after 20 years with Salt River Project. Tinie liked to cook, read and go dancing. She made many friends, and they were very dear to her.

Tinie was survived by Edward “Lalo” Ruiz her husband for 48 years. A brother Chito Duarte, a Stepson Eddie Ruiz, and Stepdaughter Felicia Dominguez (Rene), 2 Step granddaughters, 3 Step grandsons, 16 nieces and nephews and many great 40 great nieces and nephews and 53 great, great niece and nephews, and 1 great, great, great nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Franklin and Gilbert Duarte, sister Irma Dolores Duarte and 4 nephews Gilbert, Ricky, David and Gregory.

Tinie requested to be cremated. No services have been scheduled.
