Obituary
Susan Kaye Clark, age 53 of Avondale, AZ went to heaven August 2, 2017. She was born February 4, 1964 in Oak Harbor, WA to Joel Frederick and Jean Wemmer. Susan was a medical assistant for 20 years. She enjoyed camping, bowling, and fishing and was an amazing quilter. She loved her family, but most of all loved the Lord Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband, Ed Clark; daughters, Kelli Ackermann and Danica Antsen; parents, Jean Wemmer and Joel Frederick; sister, Cheryl Arm; and four grandchildren, Piper, Charlie, Blakely, and Rory. She was preceded in death by her sister, Julie Garaby, and her grandmother, Eva Read. A visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Kern Funeral Home, 1122 S. 3rd St., Mt. Vernon, WA. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, 1200 E. Fir St, Mt. Vernon, WA 98273.

I,m so heartbroken to lose my wife of 33 great years. Many don’t know she suffered from Sjorgrens disease for the last 20 yrs of extreme fatigue and pain. She hide it well and you wouldn’t know by looking at her. I know she is not hurting anymore and is with Jesus. To all her friends she loved you all. She would’ve spent more time with you but just didn’t have the physical ability to do so. She absolutely loved Kelli and Danica more than they will ever know and am sad she won’t be here to help and love her grandchildren that she loved so much. Thanks for our wonderful life togethr my beautiful wife. I miss you horribly and will see you again someday hopefully in the far off future I will love yoy forever. Xoxo ????

I am so sorry to hear of Susan’s passing. My heart is broken for her family, which meant so much to her. I am thankful for the years that she and I spent together as friends and neighbors. We had a lot of fun times! Her beautiful smile will be missed. Take care, Ed, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Susan you will be missed more than you can imagine. I was so so looking forward to our visit this week but God had other plans for you. Instead I will cherish the memories we shared the past 34 years. Everything from sharing our deepest thoughts, births of our children, our weddings, our children’s weddings, amazing camping trips, many New Year’s together, good times and bad. It was all worth it. We we’re supposed to grow old together with you being the classy one & me the crazy one. I love you Susan and thank you for accepting me the way I was and not judging me. To Ed, Kelli and Danica,
We are so very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved wife and mother. I knew Susan for only a short time, back in 1998 or 1999 (?) when Danica was in class with my daughter Chelsea. Although it was a short time, I NEVER forgot Susan’s smile or what an absolute character she was! She was so kind and so funny and so devoted. A true inspiration to be around. I know you will all take great comfort in knowing she is HOME now, and will be waiting for you. You’re all in our thoughts and prayers. Becky and David Billings
