Obituary

Bruce Moreland Wilson, 68, of Litchfield Park and Buckeye, Arizona, died July 20, 2022, in Goodyear, Arizona following surgery. Bruce was born November 3, 1953, in the Naval Hospital at Patuxent River, Maryland, to Betty Ann Millard and Carter L. Wilson, Jr. He traveled with the family across the country and around the world arriving in Arizona in 1965.

Known as “Willy to his friends,” he graduated from Agua Fria High School and started a pool service and repair business which he ran for a number of years. Later, he joined IATSE Local 336, where he worked for many years as a stagehand and general laborer.

Bruce marched to the beat of a different drummer, and was married a number of times. He is survived by his partner Shawnette Murphy and brothers Carter Wilson (Gail) and Douglas Wilson of Litchfield Park; Francis Wilson of Litchfield Park, daughter, Stacey Leavitt-Wilson (Mike) of Middleton, Idaho, son Branden C. L. Wilson (Mary) of Phoenix and grandchildren, Dillon, Parker, and Kaydence.

Services are pending at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Litchfield Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
