Obituary

Mr. Dale Bell, 73, of Goodyear, Arizona died peacefully in his home August 30, 2021. He was born November 5, 1947 to Arthur Bell and Katherine Salzman in Lincoln, Nebraska. Dale served in the US Navy from 1967 to 1973. He is survived by wife Sonja Bell, his children Teresa Willis of Portland, Oregon, David Bell of Goodyear, Arizona, Trish Lee of Milwaukie, Oregon, Heather O’Connor of Oregon City, Oregon, Jaymie Van Orden of West Linn, Oregon, and Brian Hicks of Milwaukie, Oregon. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dale is survived by his remaining brother Roger Bell, his sister Sharon predeceased him several months prior. Dale will be deeply missed by his extended family and friends. Mr. Bell was an aid golfer most of his career, organized countless tournaments, charity events, and participated in several golf leagues in Goodyear as well as marshalling part time at Pebble Creek Golf Resort. His love of the game led him to Goodyear, Arizona where he retired with his wife. Dale was never too busy to help a friend or rescue someone in need. He traveled extensively worldwide to follow his golf game. Mr. Bell was in the HVAC business over 40 years and was a very active member of the Portland Home Builders Association in Portland, Oregon and continued practicing his skills long after retirement. The family will hold a private memorial service in Portland, Oregon. A celebration of his life will be scheduled for a later date in Goodyear, Arizona.
