Obituary

Kenneth Franklin Lanan, 82 of Goodyear AZ died July 17, 2015 in Goodyear AZ. Mr. Lanan was born May 30, 1933 in Plymouth Meeting PA to Horace and Frances Lanan. He served in Air Force from 1955-1978 as Lieutenant/Colonel.

Mr. Lanan graduated from Penn State University with Bachelors in AG, received his MBA at Golden Gate University, and was President of Delta Theta Sigma Fraternity. He served in Vietnam as a F.A.C. Pilot, he was a member of Toastmasters and a Deacon at Crystal Cathedral.  Mr. Lanan received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Metal/ with Clusters, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation, National Defense Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Silver Star.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lee Lanan, daughters Renee Lanan, Colleen (Lanan) Joplin, one son in law, Dan Joplin, sister Frances Wisdom,  eight grandchildren, Jennifer Hogin, Michael Hogin, Joseph Hogin, Emily Hogin, Shannon (Aaron) Hanson, Cassandra Joplin, Austin Joplin , Makayla Joplin and two great-grandchildren, Madalyn Hanson, Reagan Hanson. He is preceded in death by his Parents Horace and Frances, Brothers Horace Jr, Charles, Fred, and sister Esther.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, July 24^th at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek RD, Phoenix AZ.
