Obituary
Walter Amos Justiss, Jr, 82, of Buckeye, AZ died June 29, 2015 in Goodyear, AZ. He was born June 1, 1933 to Walter and Ethel Justiss Sr. in Too Egg, Florida.
He moved to Kansas City, KS at the age of 19 where he trained as a journeyman meat cutter with Safeway making it his career. Bowling was his passion and he worked to become a scratch bowler. In 1958, he met Barbara, married her and moved to Arizona. He was a top Valley amateur bowler in the 1960s and represented Arizona in the 1965 US Amateur Bowling Association Tournament in Lansing, MI.
His deep sense of commitment to his wife and his family helped him decide to remain an amateur in Arizona instead of turning pro and he built his family and his business while being a force in bowling houses in Phoenix and Flagstaff well into the 1990s.
Wall was a man with a mission, he believed in excellence in all that you do and he always believed that his family came first. Wally was a role model for perseverance and dedication to all who he met.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Ann Justiss; daughter Sylvia Spillet (Dennis) of Litchfield Park, AZ; son Gary Justiss of Goodyear, AZ; brother Darwin Justiss of Tuscaloosa, AL; and 1 grandchild Ryan (Shelby) of Goodyear, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Wynelle, and brother Mackay.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 11th at Lighthouse Fellowship Church, 3015 N. Jackrabbit Trail, Litchfield Park, AZ.

Our sympathy goes out to Aunt Barbara and cousins Sylvia and Gary on the loss of Uncle Wally. The last time we had a chance to visit was in May of 2001 at his mother’s funeral (Ethel Justiss) in Marianna, Florida. Even though our families were separated by miles, you were often thought about. Please know that you are in our prayers during this time of loss.

Although, I only had the pleasure of spending a few short hours with Mr. Justiss a few days before his death it was truly my honor to have met him. My sincere condolences to the entire Justiss family. Barbara and Sylvia please know you are both in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in Peace!

Barbara, please accept my condolences on your loss. I know so well the feeling of losing a mate. You and Wally have been treasured friends of mine ever since you moved in beside Nazaly and me in Munds Park. Both Nazaly and I were the benefactors of the good will we received from you two.
I can tell you, that you will have some bumps in the road ahead, but they will be forgotten in the long run. Take each day as it comes and, after awhile, but never completely, they will slowly become “new normal” days for you in this life you will live without Wally. Unfortunately, there is no guide book for those of us who are left in this manner, but there are many, many good memories that make that new adjustment a little easier for us.
I will be praying daily for you, and Wally too. I rest easy kowing that I will see Nazaly again when we will meet on the “other side”. I hope that you too have this belief. It makes evey day ahead so much easier to live.

My thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy for Barbara, Gary and Sylvia on the loss of your dear husband and father. I last saw and talked to Wally many years ago in Marianna, at the funeral of his mother, Ethel Justiss. It was so nice to see him and to hear him talk about you all. I know he was a very special person who loved his family deeply, and I pray God will bless you all and give you strength and peace.
