Obituary

Irvin Shafer Hamilton, 83, of Avondale, passed away September 26, 2012.  He was born June 28, 1929 in Salisbury, North Carolina to Sidney and Thelma Hamilton.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force and US Navy.  Mr. Hamilton was a minister and member of Southern Baptist.  He is survived by his wife Betty L. Hamilton, daughters Patricia Schultz, Kathy Borquez, Billie Jo Orola, Cynthia Borquez and Donna Flowers; sons David Perez, Joshua Perez, Stanley and Leslie Hamilton; sisters Shirley Kedozria and Peggy Pilgram; and brother June Hamilton; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Thelma Guttery.  Funeral service will be at 10am Friday, October 5^th at Thompson Funeral Chapel in Goodyear and will be laid to rest at National Memorial Cemetery of AZ at 1pm.  Condolences to the family can be sent to www.thompsonfuneralchapel.com.  Services are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Chapel in Goodyear.
