  3. Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hawk,

My name is Rebby Fortune. I was Zach’s third grade teacher. I recently learned of his passing. My heart is heavy as I think of the grief and loss you are experiencing. I remember Zach well. I would like to share some of those memories with you. Zach was indeed a very intelligent boy and a good student, but I remember him for more than that. He was a kind boy with a big heart. I could always count on him to treat other students with respect. If I asked him to help make a new student feel comfortable in our class, he did not hesitate. One of my favorite things about him was his sense of humor. He made me smile and chuckle. Zach came back to visit me the year after he was in my class. I will always consider that a gift. It is my hope that these memories bring you comfort as you are missing your son. Prayerfully and with a sad heart, Rebby Fortune
