Obituary

Richard William Rathe, age 85 of Goodyear, AZ formerly of Roselle, Wheaton and McHenry, IL, died on September 4, 2017. He was born March 27, 1932 in Bloomingdale, IL to William and Marie Rathe. He graduated Glenbard High School in Glen Ellyn, IL on June 6, 1950. He was employed by Roselle State Bank, AKA BMO Harris Bank N. A. for 30 years. Richard was a world traveler, avid animal lover, golfer, pilot of a Cessna 150, pianist and proud ex Sky Harbor Navigator. He was a loving husband to Sandra L Starkey Rathe and loving uncle to Susan Hornat and family and Douglas (Cindy) Swindells. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie Rathe; brother, Willis A. Rathe; sisters, Margaret Swindells and Elizabeth Fischer; and nephew, Bill Swindells.
