Obituary
Nellie Noriega, 78, of Avondale, AZ died April 3, 2015 in Avondale, AZ. She was born March 20, 1937 in Phoenix, AZ to Longjino Preciado and Josefina Monreal. Retired school bus driver for Littleton Elementary. Many people knew her by her nickname “La Prieta”. She is survived by her daughters Guadalupe Adame, Marisol Galindo, Savannah Noriega, Trinity Noriega; sons Arcadio Villa, Andrew Barba, Gilbert Ortiz, Antonio Villa, Adam Noriega, Izayah Noriega, Mark Noriega, Thomas Noriega, Jesse Noriega; brothers Severo Preciado, Joseph Lopez; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm, Rosary at 7pm, on Thursday, April 16th at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd, Goodyear, AZ. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday, April 17th at Thompson Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at West Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, AZ.

My condolences to you and your family during this difficult time of loss. I have wonderful memories of your mom as my bus driver and will always remember her tender smile.
