Obituary
Makayla Ann Palma, 23, of Glendale, AZ, died March 27, 2016. She was born November 25, 1992 in Phoenix, AZ, the daughter of Thomas Palma & Karen Shrum. She graduated high school and had taken some college courses as she wanted to pursue a career in cosmetology.
She had a beautiful smile, loved her family, loved her friends and loved life! “WE LOST OUR FIGHT WITH BLACK (Heroin), PLEASE DON”T BE SILENT”. She will be dearly missed!
Makayla is survived by her mother, Karen M. Shrum; father, Thomas D. Palma; sisters, April Vigil, Monica Olivas and Maghen Palma; brothers, David Yanez, Ruben Palma and Mcguyver Dyer; and grandmother, Lorrie M. Phillips.
Funeral services will be Thursday April 7, 2016 at Pureheart Christian Fellowship, 14240 N 43rd Ave, Glendale, AZ 85306. The viewing will be at 11:00 am followed by the funeral service at 12:00 pm.

Makayla you were one of my first best friends in grade school. Hearing this news is absolutely devastating. I remember when we were just kids walking to taco bell, the bowling alley, school. We always wanted to to hang out and living so close to each other really made that happen.. Your goofy laugh will forever be in my heart girl, rest in peace and MCM always <3

I’ve gone through a lot of downs in my life but nothing is compared to losing you. It’s crazy because I don’t like light, my room needs to be pitch dark to sleep and now I find myself making sure there is some light because I can feel you, I can feel your presence and I want you to see past the dark. A piece of my heart is gone, but as long as it is with you I’ll be okay with that. Keep it! You’re my favorite letter in the alphabet “K” You’re my sunflower. I love you. -M
