Obituary
Joan Adams Gray, 87 of Litchfield Park, AZ passed away June 26, 2016 of natural causes. She was born in Pasadena, California on December 2, 1928, the youngest of three daughters to Russell Thurber Adams and Duease Eileen Keeling.
Jody is survived by her husband Clarence A. “Lou” Gray, daughter, Alison G. Murphy; son, Jeffrey L. Gray; sister, Duease D. Johnson; two grandchildren; Kevin R. Murphy and Kaitlin D. Miller; and great-grandchildren, Reece R Murphy, Beau G Murphy, Maverick Miller and Kahlia Ling.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at St Peters Episcopal Church, 400 S. Old Litchfield Rd, Litchfield Park, AZ. Burial will follow in the church grounds. The family suggests that donations be made to Seasons Hospice.

I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Gray’s passing. She was my teacher for 3rd and 4th grade at Avondale Elementary/Pioneer School in the early 80’s. She was a wonderful and caring teacher and inspired me to become a teacher as well. I have many fond memories of being in her class.
My condolences to her family and friends. Her inspiration to many will never be forgotten.

We remember Jody as a caring, loving person. She and her husband, Lou, warmly welcomed us to Litchfield Park when we move across the street in 2004. Her smile was infectious and her wave always at the ready. We remember fondly their Super Bowl parties and the flag that waved for every holiday. We miss you. Our condolences to Lou and the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Jody’s passing. She taught my son for two years and she was such an excellent teacher! I also worked with her at Avondale Elementary School….I loved her humor, spirit, structure and friendship. She was a very caring person, and an inspiration to her students!
