Obituary

Born in Dawson, GA in 1934, Louis passed away suddenly on Dec 6, 2010.  The eldest child of Lewis and Waterloo Jeffers, he was a graduate of Hyde Park High School in Chicago and Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio.  As a member of the US Army, he served proudly in Korea.  Following military service, where he attained the rank of Captain, he married Lilli Okuhara.  While raising four children with his wife in Claremont, CA, Louis worked for NASA and General Dynamics.  At Bechtel Power Corp for over 30 years, Louis and his family lived in San Francisco and throughout the Middle East.  Louis and Lilli eventually settled in Litchfield Park, AZ where sadly, Lilli passed away in 1998.  After retiring, Louis enjoyed visiting his children and grandchildren in Los Angeles and Hawai`i.  Louis is survived by his brother Walter (Billie) Jeffers; his children, Veronica (Terry) Fujimoto, Lisa (Atilano) Jeffers-Fabro, Thomas and Paul Jeffers; and grandchildren (Ayano and Louis Jeffers-Fabro).  He leaves behind many friends and family who will miss him dearly.  Funeral services will be held in Los Angeles.
