Obituary

Gloria Cadena, 67 of Avondale, AZ died May 10, 2018 in Goodyear, AZ. She was born in Lubbock, TX to Paul Cadena and Carol Hernandez, the oldest of seven children. From an early age Gloria surrounded herself with family. She would often visit her grandparents and loved spending time with her extended family. As she grew, her children and grandchildren became the sole focus of her life.   Beautiful, patient, and selfless, she helped and cared for her children, and in turn her grandchildren, in any way that she could. Gloria’s faith in a God that answers prayers helped her to remain strong regardless of difficulties that arose in her life. Her steadfast way of living taught her family to always press on, stay strong and keep fighting.

Gloria is survived by her son, Paul Treviño; daughter, Stephanie Montanez; mother, Carol Cadena; sisters, Priscilla Cravens, Diana Cadena, and Sylvia Cadena; brothers, Andrew, John and Victor Cadena; and six grandchildren, Alixandria Trevino, Nicolas Trevino, Gabrielle Trevino, Lina Trevino, Jacob Montanez, and Lila Montanez. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Cadena.

A visitation will be held at 2:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ.
