Obituary

Mr. James “Mel” Barron age 72 of Buckeye, AZ,  died January 14, 2015 in Avondale, AZ. He was born March 21, 1942 to Edward Barron and Grace Price in Buckeye, AZ. Parents were original homesteaders in Buckeye. Graduate of Hobart Welding School. Welding Educator – taught at Metro State College in Colorado and University of AK in Ketchikan. Worked on numerous projects, including University of Phoenix Stadium. Certified Welding inspector. Member of American Welding Society (AWS) Avid motorcyclist and jeeper.  He is survived by his wife Donna Barron; Daughters: Deborah Lester, Barbara Barron, Mariann Sandoval. Sons: Thomas Darrow and Melvin Barron. Sister – Lucille Baker; Brothers: Bob Barron, John Barron, and Tom Barron. Grandchildren – 5 Damon, David, Christopher, Timothy, Raymond. Services  will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31st at Thompson Funeral Chapel. Donations to American Cancer Society.
