Obituary

Barbara Nelson Mulvaine, 88, of Litchfield Park, Arizona passed away May 3, 2018.  Mrs. Mulvaine was born February 6, 1930, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Thomas and Opal Batten.  She moved with her family to California where she graduated from Hollywood High School.  As a young adult, Barbara participated in high school swimming, acting and amateur race car driving.  She married Richard “Dick” Mulvaine on April 14, 1963, and moved to Phoenix’s west valley.  Barbara worked as the office manager for Estrella Mountain Golf Course in Goodyear from 1964 until retiring in 1992.  She was an active member of the Wigwam Golf Club Women’s Golf Association, where she volunteered.  Barbara is survived by her son, Ric and her grandson Sean of Anaheim Hills, California.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Mulvaine in 2006 and her brother Tom in 2005.  Private services are planned.
